In case you can’t go to Japan for the cherry blossom season, you can still
enjoy the feeling in Berlin. On April 14th, the Gärten der Welt will open
their doors for the annual Kirschblütenfest (cherry blossom festival).
Markthalle Neun is one of the most famous places in Berlin’s food scene,
but in some ways its success is a mixed blessing.
When we came Berlin in the early 2010s, this was the quintessential “hipster”
place for us: We’d go and listen to the guy at the next table, boasting how
he wasted €200 on drinks last night.

concrete interior and incandescent lighting. It was not.
Tommi’s Burger Joint appears to be another Berlin
classic. I never came around to try it, but since I went on a burger spree for
The Urban Animals, I tried their Ku’damm branch as well.
This place rightfully belongs to Paris: French department
store Galeries Lafayette is one of the
few flagship branches outside their french home.
